Kenya September 2006

Primary Location(s) Visited: Lewa Downes (Laikipia Plateau) 5 nights, Masai Mara 12 nights

Type of Trip & Duration (including travel): Specialist photography group safari booked through Wild Arena and organized by Safari Consultants Ltd.  Accommodation was static (luxury) camping and travel between reserves was by air.  2½ weeks.

Target Species: Rhino and 'northern' species in Lewa, wildebeest migration in the Mara

Main Kit: Nikon F4s, Nikon F100, Nikkors 35-80/4-5.6, 70-180 micro, 300/4 AFS, 400/3.5 IFED, TC-14E (modified to work with the 400mm AIS), Manfrotto 055 / 168, Nikon A2 filters, Fuji Provia F 100, Nikon MV-1 data recorder

Comments: All pictures were taken in the wild (except the white rhino in the Mara which were semi captive) and were shot on E6 Fuji slide film (Provia F 100asa)
